Service Pricing
I'll make this simple for anyone looking for what it might cost for my services. I'll show up at your home or business for free and assess your needs. Then comes the price quote, it's that simple really. I'll be as flexible as you need me to be and make sure to work around your schedule and your particular needs and budget.
Pricing for most services is a flat rate because it would simply be insane to charge an hourly rate for some services and repair scenarios. Please feel free to click on the contact me page, call or email me with any questions you might have or for an online/over the phone estimate.
Here are a few flat rate services that I offer:
- New Computer Setup $159 - This service includes setting up your new computer on your home network, installing an antivirus of your choice (free or otherwise), anti-spyware, windows updates and any programs you might need. This service also includes the transfer of data from an old computer (pictures, movies, documents, etc) onto your new PC.
- Wired/Wireless Card Install $29 - I'll pop in that wireless or wired card, hook it up to your existing router or broadband connection and make sure it's all working for you.
- PC Optimization $35 - This service includes the optimizing and tweaking of windows for increased performance and stability. Software will be used to wipe computer of all temporary files, bad registry entries and other junk files. Defragmentation and BIOS optimization are also included as part of this service. I can usually do this right at your home or business
- Operating System Install $99 - Start fresh by reinstalling your operating system, be it Windows XP, Windows Vista, Ubuntu Linux, or Windows 7. I'll install it, update it and make sure all your hardware is working like it should before handing it back to you. This is usually a 1 or 2 day process. A surcharge applies if you'd like me to save data and re-import it. The surcharge depends on the amount of data, but usually raises the price by $30-$50.
- Wireless/Wired Network Setup $99 - Have a new router but don't know how to get all your computers on your network talking to each other and the internet? I can do all that for you within an hour or two. This service includes setting up your router and 3 computers, additional computers would cost $10 each.
- Virus & Spyware Removal $50 - Have a nasty virus that you just can't seem to get rid of? I'll clean your computer for you, repair any damage the virus might have caused and install a free antivirus to give you a better chance of not getting a nasty again.
- Data Recovery/Data Transfer $99 - Did your operating system crash and you can't get back in to retrieve your files? Did you buy a new computer and need to transfer some data off of your old computer? I can retrieve those files and put them on an external hard drive, transfer them to a new computer or put them on some DVDs for you.
- Home Theater Configuration/Setup $40/Hr - Do you have a home entertainment that you need setup? Do you have a receiver and surround sound speaker system that you'd like connected and configured? Aside from in-wall and custom wiring jobs I can setup everything up for you and teach you how to use your new home theater system.
- Remote Support $30/Hr - Have a computer issue but can still access the internet? Click on the "Download Teamviewer" link on this webpage and drop me a call or an email with your user id and password that it provides you. This will allow me to remotely access your computer (of course you can disconnect me at anytime) and more than likely fix that pesky issue you might be having without you having to check your schedule or leave your home. It's that easy. :)

Also, I don't charge mileage as long as you are a reasonable distance from Coeur d' Alene. In the case that you are out further than 30 miles or so that doesn't mean I won't come save your computer, it just means I'll charge a little bit for mileage. :)
